Theory and skills workshop
You'll learn more about diving and things we need to consider when we go deeper underwater. Your instructor will teach you some kicking and buoyancy control techniques and you'll learn how to properly navigate a dive site taking into consideration your air supply and using a compass.

Buoyancy dive
During this dive we will fine tune your breathing and mobility. Spending the whole dive at the bottom of one of our shallow sites playing a selection of games and running increasingly challenging excercises, inluding helicopter turns and back-finning. The ultimate goal of this dive is to improve your control and reduce your breathing to result in longer and more enjoyable dives.

Navigation dive
On this dive, you will be navigating a dive site. You'll get your first chance to lead a dive, learning the tactics used by professionals to get back to the boat without a dreaded long surface swim. You'll learn about natural navigation and gas management.

Drift Dive
Experience the thrill of drifting with the current as you glide effortlessly through Koh Lipe's waters. You'll learn essential drift diving techniques including proper entry and exit procedures, communication with the boat, and how to read currents. This exhilarating dive will open up new dive sites and improve your overall diving confidence.

Deep Dive
Today we'll take you to 30m where you may experience nitrogen narcosis for the first time. You'll learn the considerations of deep diving and see how colours change at depth. This dive will certify you to 30m anywhere in the world.

Fish Identification dive
Discover the incredible marine biodiversity of Koh Lipe as you learn to identify the tropical fish species that call these reefs home. Your instructor will teach you key identification techniques and help you spot angelfish, parrotfish, butterflyfish, and many other colorful reef inhabitants. This dive will enhance your underwater awareness and appreciation for marine life.

Let's celebrate!
Once you're back to the dive school you can log your dives and celebrate becoming a certified advanced diver! Your certification is digital and recognized worldwide to allow you to dive to a maximum depth of 30m. Congratulations!

Frequently asked questions
For your first dive, all necessary equipment is provided by us. Just come prepared with swimwear and a sense of adventure!
The duration varies, but our Open Water Course typically takes 3 days. Our instructors work at your pace to ensure you feel confident and ready before certification.
While there are age limitations for certain courses, children as young as 10 can start with the Junior Open Water Diver course. Safety is our priority, and we tailor programs to suit different age groups.
If you discover that the course isn’t aligning with your preferences midway, we’re flexible and can discuss options to ensure your experience suits your needs.
While basic swimming skills are important, you don’t need to be an expert. Our instructors provide buoyancy control and water confidence training to ensure you feel comfortable in the underwater environment.
A medical questionnaire is typically required. If you answer “yes” to any medical history questions, a physician’s approval may be necessary. Safety is paramount, and we ensure all divers are physically fit for the underwater experience.
